Founded and run by members of the Valence family, this family business reflects values of community, sustainability, and passion. A legacy passed down from generation to generation that continues to shape a promising future.

The Parents

Benoit Valence
Vice President of the company, Benoit has been Sales Director for over 40 years. He welcomes future landowners to our territory and assists them in choosing a plot of land, offering them the necessary support and advice.

Pierre Valence
President of the company, Pierre retired from his position as Director of Works and Maintenance in the summer of 2024, after more than 40 years of service! During his career, he was responsible for road infrastructure maintenance, forestry work, surveying, and general maintenance of the Domaine des Appalaches.

Josée Doucet
Josée joined the Domaine des Appalaches team over 30 years ago and has held several positions since then. Married to Pierre, Josée served as office manager and secretary of the board of directors and is now retired. Having studied computer science, Josée left her mark on the Domaine by contributing, among other things, to the office's IT transition when computers first appeared on the Quebec job market!

Nathalie Goulet
Administrator, secretary, and treasurer of the board of directors, Nathalie is married to Benoit and has been part of the Domaine des Appalaches team for 20 years. Always smiling, she is there to help you, either by phone or in person at our office. She responds to requests from our current and future clients and performs a wide range of administrative tasks.
The next generation
In recent years, the owners’ children have begun to get involved in planning for the future of the company.

Sophie Valence-Doucet
Having studied and worked in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development, Sophie is the daughter of Pierre and Josée. She joined the team at the beginning of 2024 and serves as Executive Director, taking over from Josée since her retirement. You may run into her in the field, where she oversees several dynamic environmental projects, or in the office, where she works with the rest of the team on the sustainable management of the company!

Philippe Beaudry-Auger
Sophie's husband, Philippe studied and worked in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development. He joined the Domaine des Appalaches team in the summer of 2024 and serves as sales and development assistant. Passionate about landscaping, he has been involved in the development of the Lac de la Passe beach and the office flower beds, among other projects. You may see him on the grounds helping to build trails or working on environmental projects, or in the office where he works with Benoit and Marc-Antoine on the sales team.

Marc-Antoine Valence
Marc-Antoine is the son of Benoit and Nathalie and has been working at Domaine des Appalaches for several years! A trained firefighter, he is responsible for maintaining the roads and buildings and assists Benoit and Philippe in the sales team.

Charles-Philippe Valence
Charles-Philippe has been working with Domaine des Appalaches for several years. He and Mathieu founded their company, Construction Chalets des Appalaches Inc., in Notre-Dame-des-Bois. Charles-Philippe's career has been centered around our beautiful region, where he helps his clients build their dream homes. The son of Benoit and Nathalie, Charles-Philippe helps manage Domaine des Appalaches and maintain its infrastructure.

Mathieu Masson
Mathieu and Charles-Philippe founded their company, Construction Chalets des Appalaches Inc., in Notre-Dame-des-Bois a few years ago. Mathieu's career has been centered around our beautiful region, where he helps his clients build their dream homes. As Charles-Philippe's partner, Mathieu contributes to the future of Domaine des Appalaches thanks to his extensive experience as a contractor in the construction industry and his passion for the sustainable development of our region.
The next generation is always evolving!
The next generation is always evolving! Marie-Claude, Benoit’s daughter, has been part of the team for the past few years and now holds a project management position in the healthcare field. Mathieu, Pierre and Josée’s son, worked at the Domaine for several summers and now holds a position in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Charline Labrie
Charline had been living on the Appalaches Estate for several years when we needed help with reception and administrative tasks. Since joining our team more than 20 years ago, she has been performing a wide range of administrative tasks and responding with a smile to requests from our current and future clients.

Nelson Descoteaux
Nelson had also been living on the Appalaches Estate for several years when he joined our field team. With his many talents, he helps maintain the road network and buildings and is always there to support our team.

Catherine Vary
Catherine has been working as an administrative assistant since the summer of 2025. She performs a multitude of essential tasks and creative projects in support of the office team. During her interview, she told us how much she loved the landscapes of our beautiful region, and we are delighted to welcome her to the Domaine des Appalaches family!

Catherine Jodoin
New to the team, Catherine has been working as a receptionist since the summer of 2023. When she applied for the job, we were delighted by her application; she told us that her dream was to find a job in the region that would allow her to live here full time. Her attentiveness, patience, and green thumb are greatly appreciated by the team!
