Astronomy
Domaine des Appalaches Inc. is located in the heart of the first International Dark Sky Reserve in the world.
In the heart of Notre-Dame-des-Bois, Mont-Mégantic National Park’s ASTROLab is the largest observatory on the east coast of North America, only a few kilometers away from our Estate.
Golf
The Club de Golf Lac Mégantic and its 18 holes is very popular with golfers. The Eastern Townships region, with nearly 50 recognized courses, is a highly sought-after destination for golfers in Quebec.
Fishing
Speckled trout can be found in the lakes of the Domaine des Appalaches, which are reserved for landowners and their guests. In the region, Lac Mégantic is renowned for its wide variety of trout (speckled, rainbow, gray, etc.). Nearby is Lac aux Araignées, famous for bass fishing.
Skiing and snowshoeing
Alpine skiing enthusiasts: Sugar Loaf Resort is about an hour’s drive away, and Bromont Resort is an hour and a half away. For ski touring and snowshoeing enthusiasts: Mont-Mégantic National Park and its 75 km of trails are just a few minutes away.
